John and Jill Are Getting Married!
One Year Anniversary
We were happily married May 17th, 2008 at the Long Grove Community Church with a reception that followed at Bristol Court Banquets.

About Us
Bride
Jillian is a 2001 graduate of Hoffman Estates High School and a 2004 graduate of the Advocate School of Radiologic Technology. She is currently employed as a Radiographer with the Center for Sports Orthopedics.
Jill, now 25, is in the middle of three siblings. Jill's older sister, Beth, is her maid of honor and younger brother, Donny, is one of John's groomsmen.
Jill loves "aminals", watching wedding shows and hanging out with friends and family.
Groom
John is a 2000 graduate of Minooka Community High School and a 2004 graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interactive Media Design. He is employed as an E-Learning consultant with Verizon Wireless.
John, now 25, is the oldest of three brothers. Youngest brother Dan is John's Best Man, and middle brother Steve is a groomsman.
John loves making music, writing code and creating websites (like this one!)
How We Met
Long story short: Jill is John's former roommate's fiancee's sister.
Jill's sister, Beth, started dating Matt, John's roommate, in the summer of 2006 and soon afterward introduced us. We immediately hit it off. It may have been due to the fact I didn't think Jill would be interested in me (I thought she was way out of my league), so I was able to be myself.
Apparently, not trying to impress Jill impressed her. Later that night Matt pulled me aside and let me know Jill was smitten.
I was too, and we've been that way ever since.
The Proposal
At a family barbecue on Memorial Day 2007, I asked Jill to be my wife. Jill and I love spending time with our families, so the long holiday weekend was the perfect opportunity. Matt and Beth helped me organize an intimate cook-out at their place, and with the help of their daughter Ella, I popped the question.
While Jill was sitting in the middle of the living room, I handed Ella an earring box, and asked her to bring it to Jill. It took Ella less than a second to land in Jill's lap and shout "Auntie's earrings!" Whenever Jill and I saw a jewelry store she would mention how much she'd like new earrings, so I hoped getting some would throw her off my trail. It seemed to work - when she realized what Ella was holding, I said "That's not the right box." She turned around to see me on one knee holding an engagement ring box.
I asked, and she said "Yes!!"

Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony will take place in the quaint Long Grove Community Church in Long Grove, IL.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM and continue until around 4:00 PM. Seating is limited, so please arrive early.

Reception
After the ceremony, we will celebrate with a reception at the Bristol Court Banquet Hall in Mount Prospect, IL.
Cocktails will be served at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be served at 7:00 PM, with dancing to follow. A complimentary shuttle will bring guests back to the hotel at midnight.

Accommodations
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriot in nearby Glenview, IL. A group rate for the Evenson/Flesch wedding has been arranged at $79.00/night for a double queen-size room or $99.00/night for a king-size suite.

The hotel is only 4.5 miles away from the reception in Mount Prospect. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle back and forth between the hotel and the reception. We encourage you to take advantage of this service, therefore two shuttles will be available to accommodate as many guests as possible.
